This paper described a new online education model called Adventure learning (AL). This is a hybrid approach that tries to bring the students both the advantages of online education but also the collaborative learning environment. The trainers in this model serve as team members instead of teachers.
I believe this new model has its pluses in that it is suitable for more motivated students, which many of the online students are. But we need to pay close attention to those who would prefer real-world instruction and learn the content better that way. They can be lost in this model.
